I had a lovely afternoon yesterday meeting the Rushbearing procession and attending the service at St Bartholomew's church. Before the service visitors and residents were kept busy with the annual Duck Race and a 'Hunt the Hamper' game - proceeds from which went to the Riverside Dementia friendly café.

I had a lovely afternoon down at Ripponden Wood playing fields as a guest of Ryburn United, at its Charity fundraising event last Saturday. Ripponden is being judged for the Yorkshire in Bloom competition on Thursday 13th July 2017. Last year Ripponden was awarded Gold and we are hoping that our entry this year can match this success.Please help us keep the village clean and tidy!
