Last Sunday my Consort, Rachel and I went over to join neighbouring Councillors at Hebden Royd Mayor's Celebration of Hope, Reconciliation and Peace. Together with my consort, I attended the Parish Council's annual Michaelmas Show on Saturday. We had a lovely day meeting with some of the entrants and the standard of entry was excellent. Help raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support by popping down to the Parish Council office on Friday 29th September and having a coffee and slice of cake at Cllr Carter's Coffee Morning - 10.00am till 12.00 noon.

I had a lovely afternoon yesterday meeting the Rushbearing procession and attending the service at St Bartholomew's church. Before the service visitors and residents were kept busy with the annual Duck Race and a 'Hunt the Hamper' game - proceeds from which went to the Riverside Dementia friendly café.
